Ridge

The choice of ridge solution depends on the roof construction (cold or warm roof, breathable or non-breathable flooring). Depending on this, the ground cover covers the ridge by about 150 mm or ends 50 – 70 mm before the ridge (Figure 24). The ridge board fastenings must be attached to the last roof batten before laying the top row of tiles. A ridge board with a size of not less than 50×50 mm is suitable for attaching the ridge. The ridge board must be covered with a ventilated ridge sealing tape. The ridge tiles must be laid on a ridge board and secured with ridge tile fastening elements.
